| Meet Shelby She is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix. Her mom was Chihuahua. We got her in Burleson Texas in March 2005 when she was 8 weeks old. She has the sweetest disposition of any dog we have owned, weighs 11 pounds and tries to split her time between Josie and me so that she doesn't play favorites. She loves everyone. I think that she has a mental image of everyone in the world in her head and as she meets them she rolls over and they rub her tummy. Then she crosses them off her list. So many people, so little time. |
These pictures were taken in Biloxi Mississippi on our way home from Texas in
2005. Shelby was just 8 weeks old. Josie picked her out of a litter and believe me,
she got the best one. We didn't know at the time that she would become an
important part of our lives.
She loves to travel. She goes in her kennel and we don't hear a peep from her until
she has to take a potty break.

She is about a year and a half here. I taught her to sit up and created a sit up monster. It is her only trick and she
uses it with wild abandon. It is hard to refuse her anything when she sits up and looks at us with those kind eyes.
Shelby can't hold her licker. She licks and licks and licks. She plays with her toys and entertains us for hours on
end. We were not aware just how much barking needed to be done around here. Shelby makes sure the elephants
are kept a bay and so far we haven't been seen one elephant near the house.
