| 2009 BlueGrass Rally March |
| The BlueGrass Rally is another of our favorites. This one is like the Cracker Christmas Rally except on a smaller scale. We help the Orange County Parks and Recreation folks get the Fort and the period houses ready for the weekend fun. We sweep, dust, and decorate everything the doesn't move. We put up tents and canopies. Folks come to tour the late 19th and early 20th Century houses that have been moved to the Fort's property, rehabed and filled with museum pieces from the era and to listen to the great BlueGrass music and visit the vendor kiosks. It is great fun for our unit to sponsor the rally. We are assisted by members from other units who willingly help us. Many Thanks to Alice Wymer and Randy Godfrey for supplying the photos of the rally. |
